there are times when no matter how pretty the sunshine is, or how strong my coffee, i wish i were here. right now, the rays are beating through my window, pushing aside the blinds and splaying themselves across my keyboard, and i just want to be there. with the cold sand and lapping breeze. the promise of a cape cod sunset, captured by the shutter of my love.
but today is friday. the 13th. in north carolina.
and so i'll browse through my pictures and albums. that scrap of a massachusetts receipt in the back pocket of my purse. and remember. thumb through these memories. and pull out my dayplanner to make new ones.
(p.s. the day i bought a dayplanner was the day i knew i'd entered adulthood.)

I totally feel this way today too! I wish I was anywhere but in my little office in this cold place!
It's very cold here and it warms me to look at pictures from the summer! We just have to make the best of it and bask in the warmth of fire instead of the sun.

I know exactly what you mean! I lived on the coast in NC during college, and now I'm back in snowy Ohio. Somedays I miss the beach, and I'm sure Cape Cod is gorgeous :)
Sometimes nothing is better than reliving old SUNNY memories on a cold winter day. ;)

What a great photo. I'm sure the memories attached to it are beautiful too. I miss the ocean more then most people can imagine. I miss being by the water, swimming with my pod of dolphins. I miss being in Fiji. Especially in this Canberra summer, where we wake up to 6 degree mornings!
Love that photo! I did see the sea and the beach earlier this week whilst out for a coastal walk. I must admit I don't like the cold :( Still, the days are getting a little longer each week :)
