scenes from a country weekend

this weekend was a breath and release. a sigh in the country. a remembrance that the thing that most stirs this heart is the sight of cows behind a split-rail fence. that and good pintos.

hope yours was beautiful, too!

There's nothing quite as lovely as a country road. :)

The colors on the trees are so beautiful! A drive in the country during the fall is definitely on my list of things to do soon!

your weekend looks fabulous. Mine was work all sat, work sat night, then sitting at the fire all day sunday with a break just to go to the maret with my sister and niece x

what beautiful countryside!!! makes me a little jealous that everything here is still pretty much green. (or brown if its dead.)

and that meal looks absolutely delicious - particularly the pintos.

Dearest Courtney,

I especially love the photo of Pablo. He is too adorable!

How are you and your family doing with the storm?

I've been thinking a lot about you, and I'm praying that you're all safe from any harm.

Love,

anna

'a sigh in the country'

I so love your way with words, beautiful blogger!

And that photo of the dishes in the cupboard. That just made me feel .... like I was at home. As strange as that may sound, since I'm just visiting your blog ;)
