the way i know it's fall

i'm not sure how i feel about starbucks. sometimes the coffee is too roasted. sometimes the corporate culture is a bit much and i find myself wandering into more local, hometown places.

but today they officially released pumpkin spice lattes.

there is a rainy haze over north carolina this morning, brought in from late summer showers and a hurricane swirling in the atlantic. it's brisk, leggings weather. and as soon as i received my cup, i ripped off the cardboard holder and pressed my hands firm to the heat.

and i declare, a tuesday morning never tasted as good.

A - I'm SO excited about the Pumpkin Spice Latte release :) I have been waiting with bated breath! I adore them (and coffee mate doesn't have theirs come out for a few more weeks - so I'll be frequenting my local starbucks until then to feel my addiction!)
B - isn't fall amazing?! It's been feeling like fall around here and it make me so happy, it is my absolute favorite season!

love this post. reminds me of ones i do around this time of year. it's all about the little things that make fall happen for you, isn't it?

p.s. i agree with you re: the corporate-ness of it all, that's why chad and i only get p.s.l. from starbucks once maybe twice in the season. a little $13 dollar treat. :)

DITTO on all of that. Living in Seattle means you have even more of a dichotomy between the die-hard, independent coffee house fans and the Starbucks fans+corporate employees. I certainly fall somewhere in between those two groups, but only because of the darn PSL!

I actually popped by our grocery store's Starbucks hut on Friday and asked the barista if they had any of the Autumnal flavors yet...and she made me a PSL early! Love her. ;)

I'm not really a pumpkin girl, but I look forward to the winter peppermint mochas all year long! YUM!

I love that feeling! I couldn't agree more with you about Starbucks though. Their coffee really is a little too roasted and their lattes don't compare with local shops. But sometimes it's just what you need.

I am more of a Dunkin girl but I do believe Fall is upon us.

Oh, they are BACK! I love pumpkin spice lattes...it is just a shame that they don't blend well with the temperature out here. But I can still pretend. :)

Hope your week is going well, beautiful friend! xo

I love fall. And I love anything pumpkin. I even named my dog Pumpkin when I was very young. But I agree about Starbucks. They are everywhere, and sometimes they're not that good.
